IDPH today announced a statewide plan to help prevent Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS), a term used to describe a collection of signs and symptoms resulting from the violent shaking or slamming of an infant or young child.

The Iowa Department of Public Health is supporting the Great American Smokeout by reminding Iowans that Quitline Iowa (1-800-QUIT-NOW) offers services that are four times more successful than quitting “cold turkey.”
